She holds an MSc degree in Water and Coastal Management (in 2006) and a PhD in Marine, Earth and Environmental Sciences (in 2012), linked to coastal geomorphology. She is researcher at CIMA/UAlg since 2018, invited professor at UAlg since 2019 and coordinator of scientific Obj.3-Assessing and Mitigating global risks of CIMA/UAlg.
She was involved in more than 18 national/international projects, covering a wide range of scientific topics such as beach morphodynamics, estuarine evolution, inlet dynamics, coastal modelling and management, biodiversity and habitats conservation. She published her findings in 2 book chapters, and 30 international journals, including top journals in earth sciences. She has participated in 43 international and national conferences, as author or co-author of scientific abstracts. In addition, she is the associated editor of the Journal of Integrated Coastal Zone Management. Main research focus is the ecogeomorphology of natural and restored wetlands ecosystems, including ecological resilience, biodiversity and conservation.
