2nd International Conference on Biology, Geology, and Environment of Hadal Trenches

CIMA researcher Nélia Mestre was invited to speak at the 2nd International Conference on Biology, Geology, and Environment of Hadal Trenches, at the Institute of Deep-Sea Science and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IDSSE CAS) in Sanya, Hainan, China.
 
This conference gathered the Hadal scientific community which studies the deepest parts of the ocean, below 6000m depth. Discussions provided a stimulus for future collaborations to expand scientific knowledge in the least understood frontier on Earth.
