Duarte Nuno Ramos Duarte
D. Duarte is an assistant professor at University of Algarve (UAlg), lecturing in marine geology, marine morphodynamics, geological oceanography, and coastal processes and wetlands.The research domains range from coastal hydrodynamics and sediment transport to Holocene coastal evolution. He also has been developing technological research works on the manufacture of multiparametric probes for water quality monetization.He was in the commissions of coordinations of: the erasmus mundus master course in ecohydrology, Marine Sciences degree, and in the postgraduate course in ecohidrology.Since November 2012, has been the coordinator of the Scientific Diving Centre of UAlg, and performs duties of scientific dive safety officer and Confederation Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques dive instructor. He was the supervisor of 11 IS MSc thesis.He has 27 years of research experience, and participated in more than 30 national and European research projects, being the coordinator of several local projects. He published about 40 in indexed peer reviewed journals and as well as in congress proceedings.
