The 17^th Pollutant Responses in Marine Organisms (PRIMO) Congress will be held in the University of Algarve (Faro, Portugal) from 5^th to 8^th May 2013.

The main objective of this conference is to promote discussions of high scientific quality among a worldwide audience.

Participants of this conference will include a number of prominent experts as well as young researchers in the field of aquatic ecosystems contamination and mechanism of effects of xenobiotics on wildlife. The conference will provide an international and friendly forum for exchanging state-of-the-art information, knowledge sharing, and networking, with focus on xenobiotics, modes of action and relevance to the ecosystems.

Faro to your Hotel

 If you are arriving to the Faro International Airport, you can take a taxi directly to your Hotel (approximately 10 euros), or the regular public bus to the centre of the city (1.95 euros). Check HERE for details. 

If you are arriving to the Lisbon International Airport, you can either take a bus or a train to arrive to Faro (approximately 300 km). You should first take the subway at the Lisbon Airport for Oriente station. There you will find the train (CP) and the bus (RENEX) ticket offices so you can buy the connection to Faro.  If you choose the train, please go for an “Alfa Pendular” or an “Intercidades” direct train (around 22 euros). Avoid the “Regional” one since it takes much more time and stops in every station.  

To get from your Hotel to the PRIMO17 Venue (University of Algarve) and back, the Organization will provide a bus in the morning and afternoon for the participants. There are also public buses from the centre of Faro to the University, like bus 15 and bus 18 you can use.

BUS SCHEDULE

PRIMO17 conference will provide transportation shuttles from the Hotels to the Congress venue.

The shuttles will be in front of each hotel about 30 min to 15 min before departure time. Please check the following info for each shuttle and be sure to catch the bus on time: 

SPECIAL SHUTTLES for MAY 5 (SUNDAY) 

  SHUTTLES for MONDAY, TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY

 In the afternoon, PRIMO17 will provide shuttles from the conference Venue to get back to your hotel and Banquet. The shuttles will be in from of Building 8 and Building 4.  

After the Banquet (May 7), shuttles will ONLY be available for the participants staying in REAL MARINA HOTEL (Olhão), MONACO and D. BERNARDO. Those shuttles leave at 23:00 from the banquet restaurant to those Hotels. For participants staying in hotels EVA, FARO and SANTA MARIA, the Banquet restaurant is within 5-10 minutes walking distance.
